Legal Requirements

All Casino personal must be licensed by the Provincial Gaming Board of the province in which they work. In order to obtain a gaming license, learners must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have no criminal record
  • Have no credit problems
  • Be up to date with tax returns, with no tax defaults
  • Be a South African resident in possession of a valid South African Identity Number

Personal Character Requirements

  • Must be honest, have a good work ethic and be a team player
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be a people person who is friendly with a lively, outgoing personality
  • Must have exceptional numeric ability/display above average awareness
  • Must be able to work shifts/weekends/public holidays
  • Must be exceptionally well groomed and presentable
  • Must display excellent time-keeping and attendance, tardiness is not accepted
  • Must have a very good memory and display above-average awareness of their surroundings
